Main Requirements for Obtaining Malta Permanent Residence
The applicant must be at least 18 years old and confirm the possession of capital in the amount of at least EUR 500,000, of which no less than EUR 150,000 must consist of liquid financial assets. Alternatively, the applicant may confirm assets in the amount of at least EUR 650,000, including a minimum of EUR 75,000 in liquid form.
In addition, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
- Invest in real estate — purchase a property with a value of at least EUR 375,000 or lease residential property at a rate of at least EUR 14,000 per year for a minimum period of 5 years.
- Make a non-refundable contribution in the amount of EUR 30,000 in the case of property purchase or EUR 60,000 in the case of residential lease.
- Make a charitable donation of no less than EUR 2,000 to a registered non-profit organisation in Malta.
- Pay government fees of EUR 50,000 for the principal applicant and EUR 10,000 for each family member included in the application.
- All participants in the programme are required to provide police clearance certificates and undergo a medical examination confirming the absence of diseases that may pose a threat to society.
